I’ve Spent Thousands on Conferences and Events… Here’s What I’ve Noticed.

Since I began my personal development journey, I’ve spent literally THOUSANDS on courses, meet-ups, conferences, and events. For the most part, I can say that these investments have paid off. I’ve learned a ton, networked with some incredible people, and walked away with knowledge I didn’t have before.

However, for all the benefits events have offered, there have been some negatives too. I’ve decided to share a few of the common problems events have, as well as some solutions that I think could improve any conference.

Problem #1 – Dreary Venues

It’s hard to believe how many conferences – especially ones with high ticket costs – assemble in incredibly drab conference rooms, stuffy convention centers, or the dreaded back room of a local restaurant. It’s important to create a positive environment for attendees so that they can focus on the material being presented rather than the weird water stains on the ceiling above them.

Problem #2 – Content over Connection

One of the baseline pieces of value for a conference or an event should be the chance to connect with like-minded individuals in your field. However, most events seem to opt for a classroom style format. Don’t understand me incorrectly – good content is good content. However, in a world of podcasts, audiobooks, blogs, and webinars, an in-person event needs more incentive to attend than strictly content.

More often than not, attending a conference means arriving in a meeting area at 6am, taking your seat, and getting hit with a fire hose of information until it’s time to head back to your room.

Problem #3 – Lackluster Ticket Upgrades

Shelling out cash for an exclusive VIP ticket, only to find out that the “perks” were a cold sandwich and a laminated lanyard to wear is… well, the absolute worst. However, many events offering upgraded tickets are providing exactly that.

Don’t worry, I did not bring up the aforementioned issues with no intention of offering a solution. I have actually come up with the perfect solution – Build Your Network LIVE! That’s right, my own live event is going on November 8th-November 10th in Las Vegas!

Solution #1 – NO Dreary Venue

NO stuffy conference room at Build Your Network LIVE. We’re meeting at Top Golf in Las Vegas, where I have rented out the entire first floor!

Solution #2 – Connection over Content

I’m creating a networking-positive atmosphere where every ticket-holder can get face-to-face interaction with other entrepreneurs as well as the conference speakers, themselves. The speakers will not be simply delivering a keynote and then hopping on a plane. They will be there for the length of the conference to connect with YOU! Speakers like Steve Sims, Brad Lea, Mark Brazil, Amy Mahjoory, Luke Weber, and more to be announced!

Solution #3 – Ultimate VIP Day Experience

VIP ticket holders get an ENTIRE EXTRA DAY at a top secret location – as well as preferred event seating, an escape room experience, a private dinner with available speakers, a High Roller Ferris Wheel experience with available speakers, AND an exclusive VIP party with available speakers.

If you are ready to experience an event unlike any other, register today for Build Your Network LIVE. The seating is VERY limited, so be sure to act fast.
